Cloud Native Engineer
Are you a cloud native engineer who wants your work to matter — both technically and for the people and organizations you build for?
At Elastisys, you'll work on some of the most advanced and socially important cloud native projects in the Nordics. We build and run secure, scalable infrastructure for organizations where it genuinely matters — and we do it together.
About the role
As a Cloud Native Engineer, you'll play a central role in customer projects from planning and designing to implementing solutions in complex cloud native environments, contribute to our internal knowledge sharing and the wider open source community. Because how we grow together matters as much as what we deliver.
What you'll work with
- Designing and building cloud-native software systems
- Kubernetes-based deployments
- Containerization and microservice-based architectures
- Backend development using Go, and C++, with language choice driven by context
- Development with awareness of cloud runtime constraints
- Close collaboration with architects, clients, and cross-functional teams
Who are you?
We imagine you bring a few years of professional software development experience, with solid backend skills in Go, C#, or C++ and a clear focus on cloud development. You have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads, and you understand what it takes to build products that are scalable, reliable, and secure.
You like to collaborate, communicate clearly, and care about both the quality of your work and the people around you. You bring a genuine interest in modern infrastructure and the ability to drive projects from idea to implementation — however you got there. An interest in open source and contributing to a broader community matter to us too.
A degree in computer science, physics, or similar is one way to have built this, but it's your competence and curiosity that count.
Why Elastisys?
We're a team of 40+ engineers, researchers, and innovators working on cloud native problems that genuinely matter secure, compliant infrastructure for organizations where getting it right isn't optional. Security, knowledge sharing, and care for each other aren't values on a wall; they're how we make decisions every day.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
- Hybrid workplace a real blend of office and remote work, so the role fits into the rest of your life
- Paid wellness hour every week, plus a yearly wellness grant
- Paid individual training each year we invest in you staying at the edge of your field
- Occupational pension and the expected basics, handled properly
- Time and space for open source contribution as part of the work, not on top of it
- A team that shares what it knows from pair work to internal tech talks to mentoring that's structured, not accidental
If you want to grow technically, lead when it matters, and work somewhere different perspectives are treated as an asset rather than a talking point, we'd love to hear from you.
